How to save money in nursing: A survey
- by admin
The National Nursing Home Nurses’ Association (NNHNA) has compiled a survey of the nursing workforce to see if it can help you save money.
The results of the survey show that online nursing can save you up to $300 a year.
The survey was conducted between November 2016 and March 2017.
NNHNA President Jennifer Lee said the survey revealed the many ways nurses can save money online.
“We know nurses can’t get the training they need, so if we’re looking to save a little bit of money, we could do it through our online courses,” Ms Lee said.
“You could do a little of the training online, you could go to your local nursing home and you could do some online classes or you could just get in touch with your local agency or go on the internet and learn more about your options.”
She said if you’re looking for a new career or want to find a new job, you should consider going online.
“We have found that if you go online, and you’re not already a registered nurse, that you’re going to save about $300 more than if you were to go to a local nursing centre,” Ms Kwa-Pong said.
Nursing is a career that can pay well Ms Kwan-Poo said she was surprised at the results.
“Nursy is a great career,” she said.”[It’s] very flexible and it can take you anywhere from three to five years to get a degree, so I’m very impressed by the amount of money that can be saved.”
I can’t think of a more rewarding career than being a nurse.
