Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa stretchered off field after head and neck injury vs. Bengals

.Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was taken off the field on a stretcher after sustaining injuries to his head and neck in the second quarter of Thursday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium.

Josh Tupou, a defensive tackle, sacked Tagovailoa, who then smacked his head on the ground and lay motionless for a while.

The University of Cincinnati Medical Center is about four miles north of Paycor Stadium, and according to the Amazon Prime broadcast, Tagovailoa was transferred there.

After suffering a back and ankle injuries in the team's 21-19 victory over the Buffalo Bills in Week 3 at Hard Rock Stadium, Tagovailoa was doubtful to play on Thursday.

Tagovailoa had a back injury against the Bills, not a head injury, according to him and Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel.
