The best player and most highly recruited player on Calipari's inaugural Kentucky squad was Wall.

After only one season with the Wildcats, he was selected first overall by the Washington Wizards in the NBA draught.

He played at least 66 games in six of his first seven seasons, which was a terrific start to his career. In four of those seasons, Wall was chosen an all-star, and he also won several other honours while playing with the Wizards.

However, the injuries soon followed and persisted for a lot longer than anyone could have anticipated. Wall has participated in three of the previous five seasons, but even in those three seasons, he has only taken part in 113 games out of a possible 246.

His time as a Wizard came to an end when he was moved to Houston in exchange for Russell Westbrook. He wasn't in Houston for very long before the team offered to buy him out.

After all of the injuries and moving around from Washington to Houston to Los Angeles in a relatively short period of time, no one was really sure how Wall's career would develop.

He played 25 minutes at the point guard position, the third-most minutes of anyone on the team. Wall scored 15 points, dished out three assists and grabbed four rebounds.

He looked healthy and had a burst to his play. Wall appears to be in line for a major comeback season and the team itself should be clicking on all cylinders this year.
